2009 Christmas!!!

We had many first this year for Christmas. This was Kingston's FIRST Christmas, Cheyenne's FIRST Christmas where she understood who Santa was, and how to open and appreciate presents, and Caleb got his FIRST bike. Years in past we have always had to wake up the kids to open presents because we aren't early risers here at the Ellsworth home, but this year Caleb woke up around 6am, came into our room, and said " Santa came, he ate all the cookies drank the milk, and left me a bike!" I told Caleb that was cool, and Caleb went back to bed, and then of course we had to wake all the kids up around 8am so we could make it to the Ison's Christmas brunch! Caleb with his New Bike!!!

My Mother made all of us kids stockings when we were kids, so I made my kids stockings as well, a lot of time went into making these stockings, but it was well worth it!

2009 at the Ellsworth Home!!

Christmas is one of my favorite Holidays, maybe because of all the family traditions, the beautiful Christmas lights, and of course wonderful family time. Every year Brent's side of the family gets together for dinner and Christmas songs. This year I sat back and watched as everyone sang the Christmas songs from the hymn book, I couldn't help to think what a wonderful and spiritual tradition this was, and how much closer I felt to my Heavenly Father, and savior Jesus Christ. This year also as we took some non-member friends to the temple with our children, we walked through the nativity scenes and Caleb asked lots of question. What a joy it was to explain to him about the birth of Jesus Christ. Our ward this year constructed the town of Bethlehem, Brent and I were asked to play the role of Joseph, and Mary with Kingston as our sweet little baby Jesus. What a wonderful experience that was even though Kingston was a little restless. It was an experience of a life time, to sit and ponder that thoughts and feeling that Mary may have been feeling to give birth to such a wonderful baby boy, that feeling was so wonderful, word can't even describe. Christmas every year seems to be getting better and better, we are truly blessed to have Kingston join us in our Family, and Family traditions. Merry Christmas!!!
